Essex Artificial Grass Experts
On this project in Chelmsford, we were asked by the client to make this back garden aesthetically pleasing and easy to maintain.
The idea was to create a surface area around the pool that was both safe and inviting for family use.
This was a large area – 550m2 – in which we laid our top-of-the-range Supreme 40mm product.
As always, with the ground preparation being paramount, we had to excavate a lot of material out and introduce a lot of new granite material in to ensure a durable and permeable sub-base.
Four grab lorries worth of soil and clay were removed, a geotextile membrane was laid at soil level to prevent weed growth and 65 tons of MOT Type One was levelled and compacted. Along with a concrete strip for fixing, we then hand-screeded 13 tons of 0-5mm Granite Dust before fitting the grass.

We laid our Supreme 35mm product to 550mm wide stripes to create a freshly mowed look to the lawn. Enjoy the end result!
